I'm an amateur artisan crafter and writer with professional aspirations, obsessed with dragons, cats, foxes, and just about anything fantastical. I draw, I used to paint and will again someday. I make jewelry and dabble in leatherworking, sculpting, carving, and a motley of other mediums. I write (and devour) fantasy and sci-fi stories, and the occasional poetry or ranty blog post. Also, wife, mother, nerd, gamer, and the Whiskey and Wartime Witch. I am the White Fox of Foxfire Musings.

I am a Celt (yes, one of those damn pipe-playing drum-beating blue-painted kilted barbarians) by bloodline. I'm into hard sci-fi, steampunk, cyberpunk (as a literary genre), high and urban fantasy, and mythology and folklore in general. Yes, I keep myself busy. Born a poor lil Virginia mountain girl, I grew up to be the mother of three wonderful daughters, and I'm still growing. I I have far too many interests, so I plan to live to be at least a hundred and twenty in order to pursue them all. If it takes longer, well, we'll just have to blow up that ship when she crosses our bows.
